RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.,  14 Aug. 2010. General Micro Systems, Inc. (GMS)  introduced a new rugged computer system -- Golden Eye II --  based on the upgradable Intel Penryn processor. The new system, targeted for avionics and vetronics applications, uses an Intel Core 2 Duo processor running as fast as 2.26 GHz with 6 megabytes of L2 Cache, supported by as much as 8 gigabytes of memory (RAM) and as much as 2 terabytes of removable storage.

Time-Triggered Protocol (TTP) avionics specialist TTTech in Vienna is introducing the TTP Star Coupler flight assembly that separately protects each branch of a star-topology avionics databus. TTTech is introducing the TTP Star Coupler at the Farnborough International Airshow this week in Farnborough, England. Protecting each branch of an avionics star-topology databus separately enables avionics designers to improve fault isolation and produce architectures with higher availability than traditional bus topologies, TTTech officials say.

REHOVOT, Israel, 15 July 2010. Elop Ltd.in Rehovot, Israel, is introducing the Rattler A miniature, coded laser target designator for micro-payloads and small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The UAV laser designator performance in harsh environments and provides designation for all laser-guided munitions. The Rattler A laser designator fits in payloads as small as five inches in diameter, and provides small observation payloads on manned and unmanned aircraft with targeting capabilities by enabling laser designation and coded laser illumination. Its diode-pumped technology and a-thermal design come in single- or multiple-LRU configurations.

Luciad released LuciadMap V10.0 visualization and graphical analysis software suite, which offers new capabilities, enhancements, and functionality that allow developers to rapidly and effectively build and deploy high-end mission-critical systems. MISSION VIEJO, Calif., 1 July 2010. Holt Integrated Circuits introduced an ARINC 429 line driver powered by a single +5-volt supply. The HI-8592 eliminates the need for negative voltage supplies or inverters which are typically found in ARINC 429 bus driver designs, company officials say.

HUDSON, Mass., 28 2010. Hypertronics Corp. announced  the KMR Connector Series, a 0.075 in (1.91millimeter) fine pitch, high density PCB connector utilizing 0.50mm diameter Hypertac Hyperboloid sockets. KMR is targeted at commercial and military avionics and other aircraft systems, as well as unmanned systems.
