Murata Power Solutions in Mansfield, Mass., is introducing the MEJ2 series of encapsulated compact through-hole, 2-watt DC-DC converters that provide a pin-compatible upgrade path from Murata's NMJ, MEV1 and NMV series.

The MEJ2 2-watt power electronics devices are available with single or dual outputs covering the nominal voltages of 3.3, 5, 9, 12, or 15 volts DC. Input voltage variants accommodate 3.3, 5, 12, or 15 volts DC. In a compact SIP format, the MEJ2 series has about twice the power density of its predecessor, the NMJ series, while offering safety agency recognition according to UL60950 for basic/supplementary insulation for voltages up to 200 Vrms.
