LiDAR integrated with network video for situational awareness in security uses introduced by Quanergy

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Quanergy Solutions Inc. in San Jose, Calif., is integrating the company's Q-Track 3D light detection and ranging (LiDAR) system with the VAPIX network video API from Axis Communications in Chelmsford, Mass.

This integration connects Quanergy's advanced 3D LiDAR-powered security system and the Axis network cameras for real-time detection, tracking, and situational awareness for critical security applications.

Enhanced video verification

Integrating Q-Track with VAPIX uses Axis cameras for enhanced video verification and automated event responses powered by Q-Track's object detection and real-time tracking capabilities to control PTZ cameras as they capture video evidence and trigger event-based actions such as turning on lights, sounding audio alarms, and issuing automated notifications within Quanergy's system.

The integration offers security benefits for commercial, industrial, and critical infrastructure sites. This integration is available to all Quanergy Q-Track customers using Axis network cameras.
