Summary

Military & Aerospace Electronics will present a webinar panel discussion at 2 p.m. eastern time on Tuesday 30 April on the latest enabling technologies for electronic warfare (EW). The panel discussion will consist of a prime EW systems integrator on the most important EW technologies needed from suppliers; a high-performance embedded computing expert from the Curtiss-Wright Corp. Defense Solutions Division on the latest embedded computing technologies for EW, and a trusted computing expert from Star Lab Software on some of the latest cyber security innovations for EW.

Highlights will include EW enabling technologies that prime EW systems integrated need most from their suppliers; high-performance embedded computing technologies for EW, and cyber warfare and cyber security technologies for EW. Also included will be a short discussion on the future potential of quantum computing and quantum communications technologies that could influence EW systems design.

Denis Smetana | Sr. Product Manager, Processor Products | Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions

Denis Smetana is a senior product manager for processor products for Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions in Ashburn, Va.  He has more than 35 years of experience with ASIC, FPGA, and hardware product development and management both in telecom and defense industry and 20 years of experience with COTS ISR products. He has a BSEE in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech.

Victor Vanderberg | Director of multi-domain electronic warfare (EW) | SRC Inc. 

Victor Vanderberg is director of multi-domain electronic warfare (EW) at SRC Inc. in North Syracuse, N.Y., a not-for-profit research and development company that specializes in defense, environment, and intelligence. Vanderberg works with a team of engineers that focuses on unmanned system payload design. Vanderberg has more than 20 years of experience in engineering and with multi-domain EW expeditionary systems, with an emphasis on size-, weight-, and power-constrained special communications.

Dan Megan | Director Security Solutions, East | Star Lab

Dan Megan is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving as part of an infantry battalion with training in several fields including Nuclear Biological Chemical Defense. He has over 20 years of experience in the hardware and software industry, the last 15 focused on cyber security. In his current role with Star Lab, he manages business development for the eastern US, providing software solutions and engineering services to protect mission critical systems and applications. Prior to joining Star Lab, Dan spent 8 years with Hewlett Packard Enterprise focusing on encryption solutions. He currently resides in Massachusetts with his family.
