SAN FRANCISCO – Pembroke Instruments LLC in San Francisco is introducing the SenS II shortwave infrared (SWIR) camera with Gigabit Ethernet Vision for remote sensing, surveillance and target identification, and laser tracking.

The SenS II model has a indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) sensor with resolution of 640 by 512 15-micron pixels that can be set to operate in three modes of operation: linear response mode for low light imaging; two separate gains set via software; log response mode when intrascene dynamic range is high; and fast gating mode when image acquisition must have a time window shorter than 10 nanoseconds.

Gigabit Ethernet vision engineered into the camera will enable users to control the camera within many popular software products including Matlab, Labview, Micro Manager, Pleora , JAI, and Matrox.

The electro-optical SWIR spectral region has evolved to become critical for many industrial, scientific, remote sensing, and surveillance applications such as SWIR remote sensing, microscopy, surveillance and target identification, laser tracking, and reflective and hyperspectral imaging.

The camera has three modes of operation to obtain peak imaging performance: linear mode with several gain settings with option for correlated double sampling (CDS); log response mode (high intrascene dynamic range); and gating mode for exposure of less than 100 nanoseconds; less than 30 nanoseconds rise time; and high shutter efficiency.

The camera also has speeds as fast as 250 frames per second full frame and flexible binning; standard TE cooled for high stability; exposure times from 50 nanoseconds to 5 seconds; and rugged small footprint.
