The Military & Aerospace Electronics take:
6 Dec. 2018 -- The company handed over the Dual-mode Array Transmitter (DART) mission system to the Navy after finishing acceptance trials at the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute in Fort Pierce, Fla., Naval Sea Systems Command said Tuesday.
The Navy will use the DART mission system to help sailors handle passive and active sonar systems beyond the thermocline layer where submarines often hide.
Navy leaders say they plan to send the DART mission system to the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center in Andros, Bahamas, to demonstrate the package’s escort mission module before its deployment aboard littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) for developmental tests.
