Metrology

Jan. 19, 2015
The ability to measure, verify, and document the critical tolerances of complex optical components is just as important as the ability to manufacture them. As customers' tolerance requirements increase, LaCroix Optical Co. keeps pace by investing aggressively in state-of-the-art metrology equipment including four Zygo® GPI XP phase shift interferometers, more than 30 shop floor interferometers, Trioptics Opticentric®/Optispheric® devices, Mitutoyo Coordinate Measuring, Perkin Elmer Lambda 35, 900 and 950 spectrophotometers and a multitudes of Spherometers and Micrometers. Throughout the manufacturing process, dimensional and optical specifications are verified. According to our ISO 9001:2008 certification requirements, all of our metrology devices are regularly checked and calibrated, ensuring the parts we ship meet customer specifications.
