Amphenol Industrial in Sidney, N.Y., is introducing the ePower 400A power connectors for in high-voltage and high-amperage military, aerospace, and industrial applications such as power converters, hybrid electric vehicles, heavy equipment electrification, two- and three-phase motors, and starter generators.

These all-aluminum-shell power connectors are for motors, AC/DC inverters and converters, and other high amperage equipment, are rated to 1,000 volts DC, feature integrated EMI shielding, and use the Amphenol RADSOK contact system to achieve high current, high temperature rise, and high connector contact resistance. RADSOK is based on a hyperbolic grid configuration to enable low insertion forces.

The ePower power sockets come in two- and three-pin power configurations ranging from 100 to 500 amps per contact, and have the capacity for two small gauge signal contacts for high voltage interlock loop (HVIL) purposes. The connectors come in crimp, lug, or bus bar termination. Cable plugs have IP2X style crimp pins and can accommodate shielded wires.
