CAMARILLO, Calif. – Opto Diode Corp. in Camarillo, Calif., is introducing the rugged OD-280-003 narrow-spectral-output ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (UVLEDs) for disinfection tasks in health care applications and water purification.

The OD-280-003 is the fourth device in the UVC series of Opto Diode UVLEDs. It features a narrow radiation pattern and is hermetically sealed in a TO-46 package.

The rugged device has a peak emission wavelength that ranges from 275 to 285 nanometers under test conditions at 25 degrees Celsius. Total power output is 0.68 to 0.75 milliwatts.

The UVLED's spectral bandwidth at 50 percent is 12 nanometers the half-intensity beam angle measures nine degrees. It has an operating temperature range from -30 to 80, C and storage temperature ranges from -40 to 100 C.
