Virtual + Real (V+R) testing is an industry-standard best practice for structuring verification and validation (V&V), a key process used to demonstrate safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Due to the scale of programs and large number of physical tests and simulations involved, customers face challenges in maintaining a digital thread, collaboration, managing costs and compliance, and late-stage design changes.

The V+R hybrid testing solution is an innovative, end-to-end testing and certification process that leverages the 3DEXPERIENCE® Platform to optimize test campaigns, combining virtual and physical tests. This solution marks a paradigm shift in the certification process, moving from a primarily physical testing model to a hybrid approach.

The significant benefits include:

  • Accelerated Development: Hybrid testing significantly reduces lead times, speeding up the development process.
  • Cost Efficiency: It reduces testing costs by optimizing the test pyramid and supporting the elimination of full-scale major physical tests.
