TAIPEI, Taiwan, 5 Jan. 2012. ADLINK Technology Inc. in Taipei, Taiwan, is introducing the CompactPCI-6210 6U CompactPCI processor blade based on quad- and dual-core 2nd Generation Intel Core i7 and Intel Core i5 processors for military, communications, and industrial control applications that require reliable, scalable CompactPCI computing with quad-core CPU, 2D/3D graphics engine with several displays. The PICMG 2.0-compliant CompactPCI-6210, which optionally operates in temperatures from -40 to 70 degrees Celsius, can operate in a system slot as a master or in a peripheral slot as a stand-alone blade for high-density computing applications.

The embedded computing board has as much as 16 gigabytes of DDR3-1600 memory, PICMG-2.9 compliant IPMI, remote management based on Intel vPro technology, and optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for security management.

The embedded blade has dual-mode DisplayPort and DVI-I graphics interfaces, and its DisplayPort interface supports single-link DVI or HDMI with a passive adapter cable and analog VGA output via an active adapter cable, and can support as many as four independent displays.

The CompactPCI-6210 supports hardware based remote management capability using Intel vPro technology. Storage interfaces include one SATA 6-gigabit-per-second direct connector for a 2.5-inch hard disk drive or solid-state drive, one 7-pin SATA port for external storage, an optional CompactFlash socket, a built-in CFast socket and three SATA ports routed to the RTM with RAID 0/1/5/10 support.
