QUIMPER, France, 28 Feb. 2012. Interface Concept in Quimper, France, is introducing the IC-INT-VPX3a 3U OpenVPX single-board computer for mid-range embedded computing applications with low-power requirements. The CPU board is based on the Freescale QorIQ P3041 microprocessor with quad core e500mc PowerPC processors operating at speeds as fast as 1.5 GHz.
The computer board is suitable to merge on a unique node control plane and data plane end-user applications, company officials say. The board can be used with other Interface Concept or third-party VPX products such as Ethernet switches, video processing, solid-state drives, and other IO boards.
The IC-INT-VPX3a introduction is the second embedded computing new product for Interface Concept this month. Last week the company introduced the IC-INT-VPX3a 3U OpenVPX single-board computer based on the Intel second-generation Core i7 processor for demanding military embedded systems applications like radar processing.
