KEMP, Texas, 28 Feb. 2013. Larson Electronics LLC in Kemp, Texas, is introducing the BPLI-2K-120 portable power distribution system designed to provide a mobile source of 120-volt AC power for locations where standard power sources are unavailable or impractical.

The BPLI-2K-120 portable power supply is for powering lighting, cameras, computers, and many other devices, and can provide as much as 24 hours of power on one charge without the noise and fumes of standard fuel powered generators.

The Larson Electronics BPLI-2K-120 features a 1,200-Watt-hour lithium ion battery and a wheeled housing with telescoping handle for transport.

This power supply is rated for 2,000 Watts continuous use and 4,000-Watt peak output. The onboard lithium ion battery is rated for 2,000 charge cycles at an average 75 percent depth discharge, meaning the unit will provide thousands of charge and discharge cycles before the battery loses peak effectiveness, company officials say.

Illuminated indicators, which enable operators to monitor performance, include charging status, power output, runtime, and battery charge level status.

The unit can be recharged from any standard 120-volt AC power outlet, and produces a 120-volt AC output distributed through four onboard GFCI-protected outlets to connect several devices. This unit recharges in 70 to 90 minutes.

This portable power supply also features a heavy-duty water-resistant housing constructed of polyethylene, and a telescoping handle and wheels that operate much the same as wheeled luggage. Operators can transport the unit in the back seat of car or in the trunk, then simply pull the unit out and extend the handle to roll it to the desired location.

The entire assembly weighs 58 pounds and is about the size of a large suitcase. Target customers include police and fire departments, video and film crews, general contractors, electricians, carpenters, rental companies, and outdoor vendors.
