Navy chooses mixed-signal digital receivers from Mercury for advanced electronic warfare research

The NRL Tactical Electronic Warfare Division has awarded a potential $16.7 million three-year contract to Mercury to supply advanced mixed signal digital receivers for prototype electronic warfare applications on airborne and surface shipboard platforms, Mercury announced Monday.

The mixed signal digital receivers that Mercury will supply to Navy EW researchers will provide ultra-fast tuning, high dynamic range, and extreme data processing, says Ian Dunn, vice president and general manager of Mercury's RF and Microwave Subsystems Group.

NRL is the Navy's corporate laboratory, and conducts technology research in maritime applications of improved materials. Its Tactical Electronic Warfare Division conducts research in electronic warfare.
