AURORA, Ill., 25 April 2013. Connor-Winfield Corp. in Aurora, Ill., is introducing the OX200-SC oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) for use in applications such as IP backhaul using IEEE 1588 PTP master clock that requires very high frequency stability, very tight initial calibration and very low aging.

The OX-200-SC is a 10 MHz, 12-volt DC, ovenized third overtone SC cut crystal oscillator with electronic frequency control (EFC) in a CO-8 package. Its frequency stability is plus-or-minus 1.5 parts per billion in temperatures from zero to 70 degrees Celsius.

Frequency calibration is guaranteed to be less than plus-or-minus 25 parts per billion with EFC set to 2.5 volts. EFC can vary the frequency plus-or-minus 0.2 ppm over 0 to 4 volts.

Aging is specified to be less than 0.2 parts per billion per day after 30 days and 60 parts per billion total after five years. Frequency tolerance for five years is guaranteed to be less than 0.1 ppm. Stability over 5 percent voltage or load variations is less than plus-or-minus 0.3 parts per billion.

The output is a 10 MHz LVCMOS output. Typical phase noise levels are -85 dBc/Hz @ 1 Hz, -115 dBc/Hz @ 10 Hz, -135 dBc/Hz @ 100 Hz, -145 dBc/Hz @ 1 kHz, and -150 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz.

The OX200-SC is housed in a standard 5-pin hermetically sealed "Euro" CO8 package with a 13.46-millimeter height, 36-millimeter length, and 27-millimeter width. The OH200 is RoHS compliant and lead free.
