SIDNEY, N.Y., 1 Oct. 2013. Amphenol Industrial Global Operations in Sidney, N.Y., is introducing the RADLOK line of rugged, quick-release, high-power connectors for automotive, heavy equipment, power and battery storage, hybrid-electric, power interconnect, and factory automation applications.

RADLOK connectors use Amphenol’s R4 RADSOK technology, and provide low insertion and extraction forces with a high-mating cycle rating for high-power interconnects in frequent mating applications.

The right angle design has an integrated positive mechanical lock and release to enhance cycle durability. RADLOK employs Amphenol’s R4 RADSOK technology that lowers voltage drop, make the most of contact surface and reduces temperature rise.

Amphenol’s cost-RADLOK product line can be used as a battery interconnect internally (cell-to-cell) and externally (battery-to-battery or array-to-power storage units); in electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, and fuel cell electric vehicles as well as in servers connecting power to the board.

The connector has a rugged, low-profile over mold design, is RoHS compliant, has a maximum current rating of 400 amps, a maximum DC voltage rating of 1,000 volts and operates in temperatures from -40 to 125 degrees Celsius.

The connectors are available in crimp-on versions or integrated directly onto cable with customizable lug end configurations. For more information contact Amphenol online at www.amphenol-industrial.com.
