NORTH ANDOVER, Mass., 26 Feb. 2014. WIN Enterprises Inc. in North Andover, Mass., is introducing the PL-80600 fanless DIN rail mounted embedded computer for networking applications in industrial and process-control applications.

The compact fanless rugged computer was designed to be easy to mount in industrial cabinets to provide low maintenance in harsh environments. The unit measures 6.7 inches wide by 4.5 inches deep by 3.1 inches high.

The rugged computer has a choice of Intel Atom E660T or E680T processors, which operate in temperatures from -40 to 75 degrees Celsius.

The computers have as many five Gigabit Ethernet ports via PCI-E x1 and SGMII; removable hard drives or solid-state disks; and I/O that includes USB 2.0, 2.5-inch SATA hard drive, and CF socket and console port. The computer also has a mini-card slot for LAN extensibility; redundant power-in; Intel Embedded IA components; and RoHS compliance.

I/O is accessible from the front panel. LEDs for power, status, and bypass also are on the front panel. The unit has dual 12-volt power in to provide continued operation in the event of power failure.
