FREMONT, Calif. – Elma Electronic Inc. in Fremont, Calif., is introducing the 3U VPX mid-range CompacFrame development platform to accelerate testing and development of plug-in cards based on The Open Group Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) 1.0 or OpenVPX.

The CompacFrame features as many as eight slots, comes with either a 6- or an 8-slot backplane, and is tilted upwards by 5 degrees for viewing and card access.

The user front-panel interface of this embedded computing development and test system includes voltage LEDs, monitoring and test points, and reset and power switches. An integrated carrying handle makes it portable.
