PELHAM, N.Y., 30 Dec. 2014. Pico Electronics in Pelham, N.Y., is introducing the HCM series common mode inductors for use with AC-DC and DC-DC converters with limited space, and where the need for common mode noise reduction is required.

This series of power electronics inductors are capable of carrying high current in a small footprint. The HCM series has inductance to 400 microhenries and current capability to 20 amps.

The inductors are made with a high micro core for a decrease in the number of turns for a given inductance and an increase in the wire size. The core also has a high Curie temperature.

The HCM series has 1500VRMS hi-pot and is designed to function in temperatures from -55 to 130 degrees Celsius (ambient + temperature rise). These units are manufactured to MIL-PRF-27, Grade 5, Class S and have MSL3.
