Industrial rugged computer for a variety of vehicle applications introduced by MicroMax

NEW YORK – MicroMax Computer Intelligence in New York City is introducing the M-Max 871 EP4 high-performance industrialrugged computer for mounting on different vehicle types.

The lightweight compact sealed case with fanless heat dissipation resists contamination and humidity. Providing shock and vibration protection, the M-Max 871 EP4 can operate in temperatures from -40 to 60 degrees Celsius while providing computing power in the high-end desktop class.

The computer has the Intel Quad Core i5-6442EQ microprocessor with as much as 32 gigabytes of RAM; complies with MIL-STD-704F and MIL-STD-810G specifications; 2x mSATA/mPCIe slots for expansion; shock handling of as much as 40g, vibration of as much as 2.5g; IP66 rated dust and moisture protection; all connectors are IP67; humidity: operating: 5 to 95 percent at 25 C, non-condensing; and VITA 75 footprint (8x14 VU).

The rugged computer is for tough environments, and is designed according to the VITA 75 footprint.

The computer's CPU is an Intel Quad Core i5-6442EQ, and its RAM is dual channel 1867/2133 MHz DDR4 memory with as much as 32 gigabytes. The solid-state drive has as much capacity as 1 terabyte of data, and video is from the Intel HD 530 integrated controller, which supports as many as two displays with resolution to 4096 by 2304 pixels at 60 Hz.

The system has a D38999 power connector, two DB-9 serial connectors, two RJ-45 Ethernet connector, four USB-A connectors, and one HDMI connector. All connectors are IP67. It accommodates Linux or Windows operating systems. It measures 284.48 by 57.8 by 188 millimeters.
