HARRISBURG, Pa. – TE Connectivity in Harrisburg, Pa., is introducing Raychem Cat 7 ruggedized cables for harsh-environment military, marine, and defense applications like missile warning systems, radio communications, remote weapon systems, fire control systems, and high-speed networking.

TE's Cat 7 cables support speeds to 10 gigabits per second over four jacketed individually shielded and twisted pairs.

Using the material sciences expertise developed by Raychem, TE is able to offer wire and cable options such as the low smoke, zero halogen jacket (ZEROHAL), which is approved to United Kingdom Defense Standard 61-12 Part 31.

Constructions are available in 23 American Wire Gauge (AWG) solid bare copper and 24 AWG stranded tin coated copper that meet IEC 61156-6 electrical requirements for Category 7 cables.
