Experts at Sky Computers Inc. of Chelmsford, Mass., are offering the Sky MPI-RT software library based on the MPI-RT defacto standard for real-time multiprocessor communications routines. The library is to help systems developers easily develop software for multiprocessor hardware, and to write code that is portable to new generations of microprocessors. Sky`s MPI-RT takes advantage of the SKYchannel 44 bit address space to optimize the library`s performance. The measured SKYchannel performance running MPI-RT is 270 megabytes per second sustained bandwidth. The first customer of Sky MPI-RT was the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome, N.Y. in June.
