Raytheon to build VME communications system

Communications designers at Raytheon Systems Co. of Richardson, Texas, are building 18 AN/USC-54(V) VME integrated communications systems under a $6 million contract from the U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston UHF Satellite Communications Branch in Charleston, S.C. The systems include external kryptographic variable panels, single-board modems, processor multiplexers, receiver/exciters, high-power amplifier controller, VICS power supply, and generic front-end communications processor card sets. - J.K.
