K.I.M. Aerotech in Camarillo, Calif., is introducing the Model 81145 servo valve that has no leakage losses at a low absolute pressure due to internal bleeds. The valve has internal preregulators on vacuum and pressure inputs, hence no flow controllers or external regulators are necessary. Stability and sensitivity are as good as the electronics, company officials say. The valve helps control the rate of ascent and descent with a 1,000-cubic-inch volume of 40,000 feet per minute up to an altitude of 100,000 feet. It was designed for precise electronic control of pressures in manned and unmanned air vehicles from 0.2 inches of mercury to 500 PSIA. For more information contact K.I.M.
