Rakon Limited in Auckland, New Zealand, is offering a very-high-stability temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) in a 5-by-3.2-millimeter package. The IT5300D employs an analog integrated circuit (IC) for temperature compensation providing plus-or-minus 0.16 ppm temperature stability and is available within an operating temperature range from -20 to 70 degrees Celsius. For temperature ranges as wide as -40°C to 85°C, a frequency stability of plus-or-minus 0.28 ppm is available. Frequencies are available from 10 to 52 MHz, with either clipped sine wave or high-density complementary-metal-oxide-semiconductor output. The unit also offers phase-noise performance and can operate on any supply voltage between 2.7 and 5.5 volts. The IT5300D is for use in indoor GPS receivers and other satellite communications applications, COSPAS/SARSAT emergency beacon systems, cellular base stations, transmitters, networking and is Stratum 3 compliant for SDH/SONET telecommunication systems.
