Engineers at Sanders, a Lockheed Martin Company in Nashua, N.H., and at Theseus Logic Inc. in Minneapolis are joining hands to apply new clockless logic to digital signal processing applications that experts say will improve the efficiency of military signals intelligence and information-gathering systems. Sanders and Thesus scientists are developing integrated circuits using NULL Convention Logic - a Thesus-patented asynchronous digital circuit design methodology. Clockless logic reduces a chip`s processing time by avoiding time dependency limitations inherent in controlling gates according to traditional design approaches. - J.K.
