Northrop Grumman team bids for airport security contract

MCLEAN, Va., 13 Oct. 2005. Northrop Grumman Corp. has been awarded a basic ordering agreement (BOA) by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) that enables the company to compete for airport task orders (ATOs) for security screening services at airports nationwide.

MCLEAN, Va., 13 Oct. 2005. Northrop Grumman Corp. has been awarded a basic ordering agreement (BOA) by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) that enables the company to compete for airport task orders (ATOs) for security screening services at airports nationwide.

Airports eligible to receive this security support are ones that have been approved to participate in the TSA's Screening and Partnership Program.

The agreement has one base year with four one-year options. As part of this program, Northrop Grumman's Information Technology sector will be eligible to deliver security staff to perform airline-passenger and luggage screening to airport operators that have submitted an application to have screenings conducted by a private screening company.

Northrop Grumman will offer its significant expertise from U.S. Department of Defense and NASA employee screenings and large-scale staff transitions. In addition, Northrop Grumman is an industry leader in modeling and simulation, training and security consulting.
