FLIR Systems wins contract from Naval Surface Warfare Center

PORTLAND, Ore., 20 June 2008. FLIR Systems Inc. won a $25.4 million firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division, Crane, Ind., for its Special Operations Visual Augmentation Systems (SOVAS) Hand-held Imager-Medium Range (HHI-MR) systems. The units delivered under this contract are medium range thermal binoculars and will support ongoing Special Operation Force missions for surveillance and reconnaissance.

The units delivered under this contract are medium-range thermal binoculars and will support ongoing Special Operation Force missions for surveillance and reconnaissance.

Work will be performed at FLIR's North Billerica, Mass., facility.
