ITT to supply multi-spectral imaging capability to Army's night-vision goggles

ROANOKE, Va., 13 July 2008. ITT Night Vision in Roanoke, Va., is supplying the U.S. Army with the AN/PSQ-20 multi-spectral enhanced night vision goggle (ENVG) -- a helmet-mounted night-vision monocular that combines image intensification and infrared (IR) digital imaging technologies.

ROANOKE, Va., 13 July 2008. The ITT Corp. Night Vision segment in Roanoke, Va., is supplying the U.S. Army with the AN/PSQ-20 multispectral enhanced night vision goggle (ENVG) -- a helmet-mounted night-vision monocular that combines image intensification and infrared (IR) technologies.

The monocular uses image intensification for target identification and IR for target detection. The Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Acquisition Center (RDECOMAC) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., awarded ITT Night Vision a $24.4 million follow-on order for the enhanced night vision goggle .

ITT is the sole provider of the Army's ENVG in 2005. The company's contract to provide enhanced night-vision goggles to the Army is potentially worth $560 million over five years. For more information contact ITT Night Vision online at www.nightvision.com.
