HOUSTON, 28 March 2006. Eagle Broadband, Inc., a provider of broadband, Internet Protocol (IP), and communications technology and services, and World Communication Center (WCC), a provider of global satellite voice and data communications, entered into an agreement whereby WCC will distribute various models of Eagle Broadband's Satellite Media Access Extender product line, such as its Alpha Emergency Communications System (ECS).
Eagle's patented SatMAX boasts three models that are designed to offer reliable voice and data communications in non-line-of-sight environments. Among them are a single fixed structure (rack-mount) and two portable Alpha products. Eagle's SatMAX systems use Iridium satellite technology and enables each member of the emergency management team to communicate inside and outside buildings via satellite transmissions without landlines and cell towers.
The agreement arises in support of the global emergency response community and organizations in which connectivity is crucial, such as disaster clean-up, security-sensitive environments, and back up infrastructures.
