Lockheed Martin delivers TBMCS upgrade to U.S. Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., 8 June 2006. Lockheed Martin has delivered the latest Unit Level upgrade of the Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS) to U.S. Air Force bases around the glove. TBMCS aids air commanders in planning, directing, and controlling all theater air operations. This latest upgrade to the base-level system provides greater access to more command and control data, and enhanced scheduling and resource management capabilities.

Spiral 8.5, the latest upgrade to the TBMCS Unit Level system, increases the capabilities of air base leaders to track and manage all the resources on an air base, from buildings to weapons. For example, commanders can now point-and-click on any point on an air base map to identify buildings, their contents, the party responsible for the building, and its operational condition.
