NORCROSS, Ga., 23 March 2010. Aerial Services Inc. (ASI), an aerial imagery and geospatial solutions provider in the United States, has acquired a second ADS80 sensor from Leica Geosystems. This event marks ASI's second purchase in less than two years.

The first U.S. geospatial firm to purchase a Leica ADS80 sensor, ASI has been able to quickly expand its imaging capabilities to enhance its geospatial solutions offerings, including orthophotos and 3D feature mapping.

Keen to maintain its reputation as an innovator and competent aerial imaging partner, ASI purchased its second Leica ADS80 to further meet customer demands as well as build and win new business opportunities, says a company representative.

Having a second Leica ADS80 will be particularly beneficial in supporting ASI's participation in the National Aerial Imagery Program (NAIP), the largest aerial photography campaign in U.S. history.

As one of six prime contractors to the program, ASI will use the increased flexibility, capacity, and efficiency of its two Leica ADS80 sensors not only to help increase its profile within the program, but also to provide the latitude to continue to develop data products.
