LEOMINSTER, Mass., 15 Jan. 2010. Mohawk in Leominster, Mass., is introducing rugged fiber optic cable for harsh-environment applications in military communications, mining, industry, and broadcast applications.

The fiber optic cable was designed to rugged military standards and will stand up to harsh field abuse and tight bend radiuses, Mohawk officials say. The rugged optical fiber cables resist abrasion, cut-through, and crushing in outdoor temperatures and weather conditions.

Mohawk also offers its rugged fiber optic cable in factory pre-terminated assemblies. SC/ST/LC/FC fan-outs or SMPTE 358 hermaphroditic connectors are available in custom lengths. For more information contact Mohawk online at www.mohawk-cable.com.
