ANNAPOLIS, Md., 15 July 2010. TeleCommunication Systems Inc. (TCS) won an order to provide SATCOM Communication and Mission Analysis (SCMA) Shelters to the U.S. Army. The order is initially funded at $1.5 million and will be funded up to a total of $6.1 million if the options are fully exercised through August 2011. The award was made under the Army's $5 billion World-Wide Satellite Systems (WWSS) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle in support of the Project Manager for the Warfighter Information Network - Tactical (PM WIN-T).
TCS delivers end-to-end managed services for converged (IP-based) voice, video, and data satcom for seamless, secure connectivity between fixed sites and remote operations. Among its deployable communications solutions is the SwiftLink family.
