Rochester Electronics to stock discontinued memory chips from Numonyx

NEWBURYPORT, Mass., 12 Feb. 2010. Aftermarket electronics supplier Rochester Electronics in Newburyport, Mass., will stock discontinued solid-state memory devices from Numonyx in Rolle, Switzerland.

NEWBURYPORT, Mass., 12 Feb. 2010.Aftermarket electronics supplier Rochester Electronics in Newburyport, Mass., will stock discontinued solid-state memory devices from Numonyx in Rolle, Switzerland.

Through its Extension-of-Life (EOL) process, Rochester supports discontinued flash memory devices for Numonyx to support for customers with requirements beyond standard industry life cycles.

"In 2008, Numonyx combined the memory technology and expertise of STMicroelectronics and Intel Corp. to create the premier non-volatile memory innovator and manufacturer," says George Karalias, director of marketing and communications at Rochester Electronics.
