CROISSY-BEAUBOURG, France, 18 Aug. 2007. Cedip Infrared Systems in Croissy-Beaubourg, France, is offering the Jade LR high-performance third-generation thermal camera for taking long range images from fixed-position surveillance applications.
Applications include passive observation, detection and recognition of targets in daylight, at night, and in bad weather.
Based on a trifocal design, the Jade LR uses motorized lenses of 25, 80 and 320 mm focal lengths to detect or recognize objects at distances from three to 15 miles.
The JADE LR can be remotely operated though a communication line with the video image provided in either analogue or digital RS422 format.
Incorporating a 3-5-micron indium antimonide focal plane array sensor, 14-bit digital electronics, and motorized optics in weatherproof housing, the Jade LR camera meets military specifications for airborne, naval, or ground operations.
