TCS wins $1.1 million contract to provide satellite communications to U.S. Army

ANNAPOLIS, Md., 14 June 2007. TeleCommunication Systems Inc. (TCS), provider of mission-critical wireless communications, announced receipt of an award of a $1.1 million contract to provide satellite system components to the Project Manager, Defense Communications and Army Transmission System (PM DCATS) team at Ft. Monmouth, N.J.

ANNAPOLIS, Md., 14 June 2007. TeleCommunication Systems Inc. (TCS), provider of mission-critical wireless communications, announced receipt of an award of a $1.1 million contract to provide satellite system components to the Project Manager, Defense Communications and Army Transmission System (PM DCATS) team at Ft. Monmouth, N.J.

PM DCATS provides project management of communications transmission systems that support Department of Defense (DoD) initiatives with secure, deployable communications capabilities to convey encrypted voice, video, and image data. The contract authorizes TCS to provide hardware associated with Teleport C-Band and Ku-Band Earth Terminals, Detrick Earth Station (DES), and the User Terminal Communications Platform (UTCP).
