DALLAS – VectorNav Technologies LLC in Dallas has completed MIL-STD and DO-160 qualification tests for the company's Tactical Series line of inertial measurement unit (IMU) and global navigation satellite system (GNSS) inertial navigation system (INS) products.

The testing demonstrates the resistance of the Tactical Series to the effects of temperature extremes, shock, vibration, and other harsh environmental conditions.

Testing also demonstrates conformance to electrical interface and electromagnetic interference (EMI) standards for defense and aerospace applications.

VectorNav's Tactical Series includes the VN-110 IMU/AHRS, the VN-210 GNSS/INS and the VN-310 GNSS-Compass aided GNSS/INS. The products include an onboard tactical-grade IMU, which offers better than 1 degree per hour of in-run gyro bias stability. These devices also have VectorNav's proprietary filtering, INS, and GNSS-Compass algorithms.

"There is high demand for dependable, tactical-grade navigation solutions that perform in challenging environmental and operating conditions," says Jakub Maslikowski, VectorNav director of sales and marketing.
