GE Fanuc unveils Intel Core Duo-based VME single-board computer

GE Fanuc Embedded Systems in Albuquerque, N.M., is introducing the 2 GHz V7865 Intel Core Duo Processor-based single-board computer (SBC).

GE Fanuc Embedded Systems in Albuquerque, N.M., is introducing the 2 GHz V7865 Intel Core Duo Processor-based single-board computer (SBC). The V7865 SBC features good I/O flexibility making suitable for VMEbus processor control applications. The V7865 is also available in a VITA 47-compliant EAC6 version for rugged extended-temperature environments looking to migrate to dual core architecture. The V7865 SBC has an operating temperature of -40 to 70 degrees Celsius and can withstand 20gs of shock and vibration. The V7865 also complies with the ANSI/VITA 1.5-2003 specification (2eSST, as fast as 320 megabytes per second bandwidth) which delivers VME 320 functionality that is backward compatible to VME64 functionality.
