DY 4 unveils rugged Pentium single-board computer

Engineers at DY 4 Systems Inc. of Kanata, Ontario, are introducing an enhanced Pentium-based VME single-board computer for military and aerospace applications. The conduction-cooled SVME/DMV-190 board, which has a 166 MHz Pentium microprocessor, is for airborne, land-mobile, and other military and aerospace applications in extreme shock, vibration, and temperature environments. The board has a PCI mezzanine card interface for Fibre Channel or dual 1553 interface daughter cards. The board also has 256 kilobytes of level-2 cache memory, and as much as 64 megabytes of DRAM. The enhanced board has Ethernet, SCSI-2, EIDE, full VME64, and two serial channel interfaces. On-board SVGA video gives resolution of 1,280 by 1,024 pixels.
