Skychannel, designed for high-performance communications - between mezzanine boards and motherboards, between boards, and between chassis - over the VME P2 connector, is now ANSI/VITA 10-1995. As many as 256 VME boards can connect in one Skychannel system, and when used with a Sky computer mezzanine card enables as many as 4,096 PowerPC, SHARC, or Intel i860 processors to work together.
