Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing in San Diego is offering the PGE2 dual-port Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) PMC card. Powered by an Intel 82546EB Gigabit Ethernet Controller, the PGE2 is compatible with legacy 10/100BASE-TX networks and simplifies the addition of GigE networking into existing VME, CompactPCI, or PCI embedded systems. The card is available in air-cooled and conduction-cooled versions. An extended-temperature air-cooled-range version is also available. The conduction-cooled version of the card is specified for operation over a range of -40°C to 85°C and provides support for single or dual 10/100/1000BaseTX interfaces for host board backplane connections.
