Rational validates Ada 95 software tool

Software engineers at Rational Software Corp. in Santa Clara, Calif., validated six variants of their Rational Apex Ada 95 programming environment for embedded systems using the PowerPC, 68040, and MIPS microprocessor families. All six variants of Apex are validated against version 2.0.1 of the formal Ada 95 validation test suite. Apex includes Ada cross compiler, cross debugger, Ada-specific source code editing, navigation and browsing, code rule checking, language-sensitive source code debugging, optimal recompilation, and other tools for managing large, complex software programs.
