BittWare offers SHARC DSP on PC/104

BittWare Research Systems in Concord, N.H., is introducing an Analog Devices SHARC-based single-board digital signal processor (DSP) in the PC/104 card form factor. BittWare designers, who made their names with SHARC single-board DSPs in the PC card form factor, are offering the SHARC PC/104 for tight-fitting applications, particularly in systems too thin for conventional backplanes such as integrated displays. PC/104 measures 3.775-by 3.55 inches. BittWare`s single-processor SHARC PC/104, called Silvertip, gives host computers direct 16-bit access to the onboard 40 MHz SHARC processor 32-bit-wide registers and DMA-driven host port. - J.K.
