Rational unveils Ada95 software tool

Rational Software Corp. in Santa Clara, Calif. (http://www.rational.com), is making available the latest version of its Apex Ada 95/83 software development environment for native and embedded systems development. Apex is an integrated, team-oriented programming environment that simplifies building and managing Ada applications. Version 2.2 adds support for all of the major Ada95 features for object-oriented and real-time programming Rationale`s support for the Ada83 programming language. It includes an optimizing Ada compiler with Rational`s optima, recompilation technology to reduce editing, compiling, and code debugging. Apex is available on Unix systems from Digital, Sun, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, and Silicon Graphics. For embedded systems it is available on Unix machines from Sun and Digital. - J.K.
