Northrop Grumman gets $60.2 million contract for 10 Global Hawk UAVs

SAN DIEGO, 26 Aug. 2005. Aircraft designers at Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. in San Diego won a $60.2 million contract Aug. 25 to build 10 Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with a variety of electronic payloads.

SAN DIEGO, 26 Aug. 2005. Aircraft designers at Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. in San Diego won a $60.2 million contract Aug. 25 to build 10 Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with a variety of electronic payloads.

Northrop Grumman will provide five Global Hawks with Airborne Signal Intelligence Processor; four Global Hawks with Enhanced Integrated Sensor Suites (E-ISS); and one Global Hawk without E-ISS.

The contract for these UAVs came from the U.S. Air Force Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The contract number is FA8620-05-C-4692. Work will be finished in 2006.
