Comtech Telecommunications wins $4.7 million Army contract for satellite transceiver

GERMANTOWN, Md., 26 Aug., 2005. Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp. in Germantown, Md., won a $4.7 million U.S. Army order for the company's next-generation mobile satellite transceiver.

GERMANTOWN, Md., 26 Aug., 2005. Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp. in Germantown, Md., won a $4.7 million U.S. Army order for the company's next-generation mobile satellite transceiver.

The order is part of Comtech's Movement Tracking System, or MTS contract. The satellite transceiver features embedded radio frequency identification (RFID), secure global positioning system, ruggedized computers, and control stations.
