GE Fanuc acquires PowerPC technology for multiprocessing market

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., 9 Sept. 2005. GE Fanuc Embedded Systems, Inc. announced that it has purchased the multiprocessor PowerPC product line from DNA Computing Solutions, Inc.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., 9 Sept. 2005. GE Fanuc Embedded Systems, Inc. announced that it has purchased the multiprocessor PowerPC product line from DNA Computing Solutions, Inc.

This includes the VS/VE750, VQG4, and NEXUS I VME boards, WingSpan software suite of optimized signal, image and vector processing software libraries as well as VxWorks and Linux board support software. This important and well-established technology will continue to be supported and enhanced by GE Fanuc Embedded Systems' engineering, technical support, marketing and sales.
