CHELMSFORD, England, 30 Sept. 2015. Officials of e2v Technologies plc in Chelmsford, England, are introducing the EV12DS400 D/A converter that combines microwave capabilities and multi-Nyquist operation.

The EV12DS400 digital-to-analog converter offers high levels of spectral purity, coupled with analog bandwidth for new ways to architect challenging RF and microwave systems.

Strengthening further the D/A converter's microwave capability, the output bandwidth of EV12DS400 aims into the C-band area with as much as 7 GHz and offers new waveform features to adjust D/A converter output power vs. output frequency.

This device contributes to the migration from software defined radio to software defined microwave, with its ability to operate beyond baseband, in L-, S-, and C-bands without frequency converters.

The EV12DS400 pushes the speed boundaries of single core D/A converter performance; it multiplies the sampling frequency by a factor of 1.5 compared with e2v's previous EV12DS130 D/A converter at speeds to 4.5 gigasamples per second without using interpolation techniques.
