Rugged data switches for military and industrial applications introduced by Crystal

HIAWATHA, Iowa, 23 Oct. 2015. Crystal Group Inc. in Hiawatha, Iowa, is introducing the RCS6450-12/24 rugged Crystal switches for small and medium-size military and industrial applications. These rugged data switches are based on the Brocade intelligent, scalable edge switch line, and offer improved cooling, shock, vibration, and humidity performance.

HIAWATHA, Iowa, 23 Oct. 2015. Crystal Group Inc. in Hiawatha, Iowa, is introducing the RCS6450-12/24 rugged Crystal data switches for small and medium-size military and industrial applications. These rugged data switches are based on the Brocade intelligent, scalable edge switch line, and offer improved cooling, shock, vibration, and humidity performance.

The RCS6450-12 is for uncontrolled environments in military and industrial applications, while the RCS6450-12/24 is cooled with forced-air convection via internal high-reliability long-life fans.

The RCS6450-12 comes in 12- and 24-port units and are available with a standard 120/240-volt AC commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) power supply, front or rear I/O options, one 120/240-volt AC EMI-compliant power supply, an 18-to-36-volt DC EMI-compliant power supply, or a combination of AC or DC supply modules in a 1+1 configuration.

The compact, light-weight RCS6450-12/24 offers Layer 3 routing, LLDP-MED plug and play operations, as well as availability in MIL-CIRC I/O or gigabit Ethernet standard connectors.
